Sharon Z. Hall
A native of Huntington, West Virginia, Ms. Hall received a Bachelor’s Degree in Liberal Arts and a Master’s Degree in English from Marshall University. She was the recipient of the Maier Award for Writing, and served as an adjunct professor of English at Marshall.
While working full time as a Casualty Specialist for an insurance carrier, Ms. Hall attended law school at Duquesne University and received her Juris Doctorate degree in 2002. While a student, she was a member of the Law Review, the Trial Moot Court Honor Board, and was elected the school delegate for the ABA National Convention.
Ms. Hall is admitted to practice in Pennsylvania and West Virginia, the Northern and Southern Districts of West Virginia and the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Pennsylvania. She practices in the areas of civil litigation, insurance coverage defense, insurance bad faith defense, mineral law, construction defect litigation, employer liability and subrogation.
Ms. Hall is a member of the Allegheny County Bar Association, the West Virginia State Bar and the Pennsylvania Bar Association. Ms. Hall is a member of the Defense Trial Counsel of West Virginia, the Defense Research Institute and the National Association of Subrogation Professionals. She volunteers as a Court Appointed Special Advocate for neglected and abused children in Brooke and Hancock County, West Virginia.
Ms. Hall has successfully defended insurers against allegations of bad faith in Allegheny and Butler County, Pennsylvania and has tried cases to verdict in the circuit courts of West Virginia, the United States District Court for the Northern District of West Virginia and the Court of Common Pleas of Allegheny, Fayette and Washington County, Pennsylvania.
